Research shows that children learn significantly through observation and social interaction. In multi-age environments, younger children develop language, problem-solving, and social skills by watching older peers, while older children strengthen their own learning by modeling, leading, and explaining concepts. This type of peer learning supports cognitive development, communication skills, confidence, and school readiness in a natural and engaging way.

In short: Children learn from teachers, but they also learn from each other. 💛📚✨

Yes! Please contact us for sibling pricing and availability.

Our classes offer a wonderful experience for both caregivers and children. Parents, grandparents, nannies, behavior therapists, and caregivers can actively participate alongside their little scholar throughout our classes. We offer drop-off options in our Preschool Prep & Summer Camp programs for ages 3-5yr, but caregivers are always welcomed to stay in class to bond with their little one, or volunteer as a Teacher’s Assistant.

We intentionally keep classes small, no more than 10 at a time, to create a warm, supportive environment where children and caregivers can connect and build relationships.

No. We encourage little ones to potty train when they are developmentally ready, without pressure. During class, we incorporate potty breaks and encourage proper handwashing to help children build independence, healthy habits, and school-readiness skills in a positive and supportive environment. 💛🚽🧼✨

Absolutely! Many children observe before they participate. Our welcoming environment allows each child to engage at their own pace while building confidence and social skills.

Absolutely! Many of our little scholars are attending their very first class experience. We encourage parents and caregivers to stay and participate in class, making Little Scholars the perfect bridge between home and a more structured learning environment.

Children can explore, learn, and build confidence with the comfort and security of their trusted caregiver nearby. Over time, many children naturally become more independent as they develop relationships with their teachers, interact with peers, and become familiar with classroom routines.

Our goal is to make the transition gentle, positive, and stress-free for both children and caregivers while helping little ones build the confidence and school-readiness skills they’ll need for future learning environments. 💛📚✨👩‍👧

That’s completely normal! Babies and toddlers learn through movement. Our classes are designed with wiggles, exploration, and curiosity in mind—we don’t expect little ones to sit still for long periods.

If your child has lots of energy, we highly recommend our outdoor Little Scholars classes, where children have plenty of space to move, explore, and learn through hands-on play in a natural environment.

At the same time, Little Scholars is a wonderful way to begin building school readiness skills. Children are gently introduced to routines such as sitting in a chair during circle time, listening to stories, participating in group activities, following directions, taking turns, and transitioning between activities—all in a fun, age-appropriate way without pressure.

Classes held at The Motherhood Village also include 30 minutes of open play after class, giving children additional time to run, climb, socialize, and enjoy the gymnasium and imaginative play areas while caregivers connect with other families.

Our goal isn’t to make children sit still—it’s to create rich learning environments where children can learn, move, play, and grow while developing the confidence and foundational skills they’ll need for preschool and beyond. 🌟📚🎵🫧

Language develops through meaningful interactions. Our classes are filled with songs, stories, conversations, sign language, Spanish exposure, sensory experiences, and peer interaction that naturally encourage communication and vocabulary growth in a fun, low-pressure environment.

Social skills are learned through practice. Little Scholars provides opportunities for children to build confidence, make friends, learn turn-taking, follow directions, and interact with peers in a supportive environment guided by experienced educators.

Both! Children learn best through play. Our experienced teachers intentionally design each activity to support developmental milestones while keeping learning fun and engaging.

Comfortable play clothes that can get dirty or wet are best. Some activities may involve painting, running, jumping, dancing, bubbles, or hands-on science experiments and sensory exploration. For classes or meet-ups at the beach or splash-pad, bathing suits and hats are recommended.

We recommend bringing:

  • Water or a drink for your child, keep cool with ice pack
  • Healthy snacks, fruits, keep lunch warm with thermos
  • Diapers, pull-ups, wipes, personal tissues, hand sanitizer
  • A small blanket, towel, hat, sunblock, change of clothes, bathing suits, water shoes (as needed)
  • A smile and willingness to play!

Unlike many playgroups, our classes are led by experienced educators who intentionally combine early childhood education, music, movement, sensory exploration, language development, and parent-child bonding into one enriching experience.

Research shows that over 90% of brain development occurs before age 5. The experiences children have during these early years lay the foundation for language, learning, social skills, confidence, and future academic success. Little Scholars helps families make the most of these important years through meaningful learning experiences that nurture the whole child while strengthening the parent-child bond.

At Little Scholars, we use positive guidance, encouragement, and relationship-based teaching strategies to help children develop self-regulation, communication skills, social-emotional awareness, and confidence. We focus on teaching appropriate behaviors, modeling positive interactions, and helping children learn how to express their feelings and needs in healthy ways. Children are encouraged to identify and understand their emotions while learning age-appropriate coping and problem-solving strategies such as deep breathing, talking through challenges, and using social stories to navigate real-life situations. Our goal is to help children build the skills they need to manage emotions, develop friendships, and thrive both in and out of the classroom.

If families need additional support at home, our team of educators can help create individualized behavior charts, reward systems, visual schedules, and other positive behavior supports. We also offer Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to identify the purpose of challenging behaviors and can develop a Positive Behavior Intervention Plan (PBIP) with practical strategies to encourage positive behaviors and reduce challenging ones across home and learning environments.

Private behavior therapists are welcomed to support assigned children during our classes. Our goal is to partner with families to help every child thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

At Little Scholars, we believe every child can learn and thrive when given the right support. Many of our teachers have backgrounds in Exceptional Student Education (ESE), special education, advocacy, and inclusive teaching practices. We understand how to implement accommodations and modifications when appropriate and tailor instruction to meet each child’s unique needs.

Our hands-on, multisensory approach allows children to learn through movement, visual supports, manipulatives, sensory experiences, and interactive activities. We provide strategies such as visual cues, repeated directions, extra processing time, communication supports, and individualized encouragement to help children feel successful and included.

Most importantly, we lead with patience, kindness, and understanding. We work closely with families to learn about each child’s strengths, needs, and goals so we can create a positive learning environment where every child feels valued, supported, and capable of success. 💛🌟📚🤝

STREAM stands for Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Math. Our STREAM classes are designed to spark curiosity and a love of learning through hands-on, interactive experiences that bring concepts to life.

Children explore science through exciting experiments, build engineering and problem-solving skills using blocks, LEGO® bricks, magnets, sand, and other open-ended materials, and strengthen literacy through engaging read-alouds and reading comprehension discussions. We also incorporate art, music, math, Spanish, and technology tools to create a rich, multi-sensory learning environment.

For our preschoolers ages 3 and up, STREAM learning takes place in the STEM Lab at The Motherhood Village, in-home during Private Homeschool Instruction, and outdoors in nature, where children participate in scavenger hunts, observe the world around them, and discover science in real-life ways.

Research shows that hands-on, play-based learning supports cognitive development, critical thinking, creativity, language growth, and school readiness. At Little Scholars, we make learning meaningful, engaging, and fun—because children learn best when they can explore, create, and discover for themselves. 🌱🔬📚🎨🧮🎵✨
